Open letter to COP30 presidency by Accuracy in partnership with the Global Ethical Finance Initiative (GEFI)

Accuracy joins GEFI in calling for a decisive shift towards sustainable finance at COP30

In the face of intensifying climate disruption, geopolitical fragmentation and growing public scepticism towards ESG, Accuracy has co-signed an open letter to the COP30 Presidency in partnership with the Global Ethical Finance Initiative (GEFI), a UNFCCC Accredited Observer NGO.

This letter urges COP30 to be the turning point where sustainability shifts from a compliance exercise to a core driver of capital allocation.

At the 2025 Sustainable Finance Summit in Paris, held on 9 October with leading voices from the global financial community, we explored the current headwinds facing sustainable finance – rising interest rates, politicised pushback and regulatory complexity – but also the powerful tailwinds:

✅ Accelerating investor demand for credible impact
✅ Growing regulatory clarity flushing out greenwashing
✅ Mounting evidence that strong ESG performance reduces risk and lowers the cost of capital

Together, we call on COP30 to anchor three priorities for a ‘Decade of Credibility, Inclusion and Impact’.
