Accuracy joins GEFI in calling for a decisive shift towards sustainable finance at COP30
In the face of intensifying climate disruption, geopolitical fragmentation and growing public scepticism towards ESG, Accuracy has co-signed an open letter to the COP30 Presidency in partnership with the Global Ethical Finance Initiative (GEFI), a UNFCCC Accredited Observer NGO.
This letter urges COP30 to be the turning point where sustainability shifts from a compliance exercise to a core driver of capital allocation.
At the 2025 Sustainable Finance Summit in Paris, held on 9 October with leading voices from the global financial community, we explored the current headwinds facing sustainable finance – rising interest rates, politicised pushback and regulatory complexity – but also the powerful tailwinds:
Accelerating investor demand for credible impact
Growing regulatory clarity flushing out greenwashing
Mounting evidence that strong ESG performance reduces risk and lowers the cost of capital
Together, we call on COP30 to anchor three priorities for a ‘Decade of Credibility, Inclusion and Impact’.
