What is the Accuracy Business Cup?

The Accuracy Business Cup (ABC) is an international student competition giving you the opportunity to work on real-world business cases developed with our corporate partners and inspired by the challenges they face.

Each edition focuses on a specific industry, with a leading company from that sector partnering with the competition in each country.

Throughout the ABC, you will work alongside Accuracy consultants, develop your analytical, strategic and presentation skills, and present your recommendations to senior professionals from Accuracy and our corporate partners.

How does the ABC work?

To join the competition, form a team of three students and apply in your country. The competition starts with a financial case, after which the four best teams in each country move on to an innovation case and a national final, supported by Accuracy coaches. Each national winner then competes in a virtual international semi-final, where four teams are selected to tackle the final strategic case and travel to Paris for the international final.

Who can participate?

The competition welcomes all students enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with no more than 2 years of cumulated professional experience.

What is the timeline of the Accuracy Business Cup?

Groups of three candidates first compete in a national phase in the country in which they applied. This phase is organised by the local Accuracy teams. As indicated below, the dates of the national phase of the competition depend on the country of application.

Competition details.

What is the Accuracy Business Cup?

The Accuracy Business Cup (ABC) is an international student competition built around real-world business challenges developed with our corporate partners. Each edition focuses on a specific industry, with a leading company from that sector partnering with the competition in each participating country.

How does it work?

The competition starts at national level. After the first round, the four best teams in each country move on to the national final, where one team is selected to represent its country.
National winners then compete in a virtual international semi-final. From there, four teams are selected to travel to Paris for the international final, where they present their recommendations to a jury of senior representatives from Accuracy and our international corporate partner.

What cases will I work on?

You will tackle three different business challenges throughout the competition: a financial case during the first round, an innovation case leading up to the national and international semi-finals, and a final strategic case for the four teams qualifying for Paris. Along the way, Accuracy consultants will coach you as you develop your analysis, structure your recommendations and prepare your presentations.

In what language will the competition be held?

As the competition will gather students from all around the world, English is the official language of the competition, including the business cases, written submissions and presentations.

Which countries are participating?

Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Morocco, the Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, the UK and the US!

Are there many participants?

Last year we had 700 participating teams (2100 students) in 11 hosting countries!

How long will the competition last?

The competition runs from late January to early April. National rounds take place between late January and February, followed by the virtual international semi-final in March and the international final in Paris in early April.

Personal implication.

What costs will I have to incur?

You will not have to incur any costs. For the international final, Accuracy will cover travel and accommodation expenses for the teams.

Is it possible to take part in the competition and attend university at the same time?

It is definitely possible to do both! Taking part in the event is a great opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to a real business case in a competitive but fun environment, and more importantly to get a real peek of what consultancy at Accuracy looks like.

How do I prepare for the competition?

All you need is knowledge of financial analysis and a sound business mind.

Recruitment.

Could my participation help a potential recruitment process at Accuracy or at the partner company?

Some students from previous editions started the recruitment process at Accuracy following the Accuracy Business Cup. Others have been proposed internships at the partner company.

Does a rejection for the Accuracy Business Cup mean that I won’t have a job/internship interview at Accuracy?

We encourage you to apply to Accuracy regardless of the competition and its outcome.

Prize.

Do I get a prize?

Yes! National finalists and winners will get a prize, as well as the international winners.

Applications will open soon. Stay tuned!
