Daniel Mair, a new partner specialised in transactions & restructuring at the financial consultancy accuracy

Press Release

2 June 2023 – The international financial and strategic advisory firm Accuracy is expanding its team in Germany with the integration of Daniel Mair as a new partner, specialised in transaction services.

Daniel joins Accuracy with more than 28 years of professional experience at Arthur Andersen/EY. During the last 15 years, Daniel was a partner in the Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy team at EY. Prior to that, he was active in the Transaction Support team, specialising in buy-side and sell-side due diligence services, particularly in the real estate industry, and he acted as a financial adviser for sellers and acquirers of non-performing loan portfolios. He started his career in audit at Arthur Andersen, Frankfurt.

Daniel graduated from European Business School, Oestrich Winkel, in 1994 and was appointed a Certified Public Accountant (Wirtschaftsprüfer) in the year 2000.

As an example of an engagement, Daniel performed an Entity Priority Model Analysis for a publicly listed integrated real estate company with more than 200 subsidiaries. He subsequently performed an assessment of a restructuring opinion according to IDW S6, set up protective shield insolvency proceedings (Schutzschirmverfahren) and mediated between lenders (mortgage banks, opportunity funds, hedge funds). After the insolvency proceedings, he advised on the split-up of the company, including the post-insolvency sale of a EUR 4bn real estate portfolio to a private equity fund and the post-insolvency sale of the asset management business segment (with more than EUR 15bn of AUM) to a strategic investor.
