Situation: Transactions
Value creation through M&A

Context

Our client, a major French banking group, was looking to conduct a strategic review of its Private Banking division in the context of the potential creation of Europe’s largest asset manager in partnership with a leading European insurer.

The review aimed to assess the current strengths and weaknesses of the group’s model, benchmark organisational structures and synergies among peers in the French market, and develop quantified evolution options to support the growth of the Private Banking division.

Key Takeaway

We (i) assessed the quality of our client’s Private Banking division offerings, organisational structure and internal synergies, (ii) benchmarked key themes such as network relationships, target affiliation structures and external growth strategies among competitors, and (iii) defined quantified development options with feasibility analyses to support the division’s growth strategy.

Accuracy Role

We contributed by conducting a diagnostic and benchmarking analysis of our client’s Private Banking business unit, presenting the findings to the management team and developing well-documented, quantified growth proposals.
