On 15 April 2025, Accuracy and King & Wood Mallesons supported the Shanghai International Arbitration Center (SHIAC) in hosting its second event for the SHIAC Academy series, titled “Expert Witness in International Arbitration” at the Shanghai International Dispute Resolution Center. The event was composed of two parts: a scenario role play with an expert interview involving client and counsel and a mock cross examination of a quantum expert, followed by a round-table discussion hosted by our director Ms GONG Li, based in mainland China.
Leong Munyou, another of our China-based directors, played the role of quantum expert and shared his insights alongside an esteemed cast consisting of Mr David DU, VP in charge of APAC Legal Affairs of a leading MNC; Mr Jun Wang, a highly experienced arbitrator based in Australia; Mr Clark Wang, a barrister with Rede Chambers; Ms FAN Jiayu, Deputy Director of the Research Department of SHIAC; and Mr YUN Zhi, Dispute Resolution Partner with KWM.
The session attracted nearly 100 participants and offered valuable insights into the evolving landscape of international arbitration and the use of expert witnesses in China.
