Strategic review of a client segment for a major European bank

Situation: Strategy and business changes
Strategy

Context

Our client, a leading French banking group, sought to conduct a strategic review of its professional and non-profit client segment to define a long-term financial trajectory.

The review was designed to benchmark market practices in France regarding this type of client, assess the segment’s financial performance to identify optimisation levers, and model a development scenario with quantified financial impact by 2030.

Key Takeaway

To shape our client’s future strategy, we began by identifying the two dominant banking models and analysing their key differences. We then developed a market benchmark comparing traditional and digital players, with a focus on their service offerings. This allowed us to assess our client’s positioning relative to competitors and highlight opportunities for improvement. Finally, we designed a target operating model tailored to each client segment and mapped out the long-term financial trajectory to achieve it.

Accuracy Role

We contributed by developing an action plan with an associated financial trajectory to enhance the performance of the professional and non-profit client segment. This included analysing market dynamics to identify concrete growth levers and recommending an IT solution to support the digitalisation of the banking offer.
