Our client, a leading broadcast / broadband satellite operator, leased transponders through multi-year contracts to a European telecommunications operator, offering individual and bundled fixed telephony, broadband internet and pay TV services. The telecommunications operator decided to unilaterally withhold payments to our client, claiming prices were above the market rate and prohibitive. Our client suspended the service, and a dispute process began in front of European competition regulatory bodies.
We prepared a detailed expert report with the findings of our model. This report was filed as part of the arbitration proceedings and resulted in a successful defence against the other’s party expert.
