Business case

Merger and integration of 3 regional airline companies

Context

In 2013, Air France Group merged its three historical regional airlines companies: Airlinair, Brit Air and Regional under a single umbrella brand and holding company. Accuracy was engaged to provide its expertise in the context of the merger, a complicated task in a complex industry.

Key Takeaway

The merger was successful and the integration road map implemented.

Accuracy Role

We deployed a large multi-disciplinary team to cover the full-scope of the merger transaction followed up by the post-merger integration. In a single team, airline experts, strategy consultants and financial modellers worked together to build the business model of the new company, implement the integration road map and model its business plan including financial impacts from road map actions. Our work also covered fleet management issues: asset life-cycle management, fleet turnover optimisation and fleet-use diversification.
