Certaines ont connu un grand succ\u00e8s, comme Revolut, qui compte aujourd'hui plus de 50 millions de clients. Mais depuis quelques mois, une nouvelle \u00e9tape a \u00e9t\u00e9 franchie : Revolut installe des distributeurs automatiques de billets et envisage de demander une licence en France, tandis que Qonto cherche \u00e0 devenir un \u00e9tablissement de cr\u00e9dit. Cette \u00e9volution constitue une v\u00e9ritable menace pour les banques traditionnelles.<\/p><p><strong>Qonto se pr\u00e9pare \u00e0 devenir un \u00e9tablissement de cr\u00e9dit<\/strong><\/p><p>Revolut poursuit son ascension en Europe avec une s\u00e9rie d'annonces illustrant son ambition de devenir une banque plus compl\u00e8te. Apr\u00e8s avoir lanc\u00e9 des distributeurs automatiques de billets en Espagne, la n\u00e9obanque s'appr\u00eate \u00e0 proposer des cr\u00e9dits immobiliers, r\u00e9organise ses \u00e9quipes sur le continent et acc\u00e9l\u00e8re ses investissements en France. Tout en se rapprochant des services offerts par une banque traditionnelle, Revolut maintient un mod\u00e8le ultra low cost bas\u00e9 sur l'efficacit\u00e9 technologique et l'automatisation \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle.<\/p><p>De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, Qonto affiche une forte croissance depuis sa cr\u00e9ation en 2016. Avec 600 000 clients sur huit march\u00e9s europ\u00e9ens, la n\u00e9obanque des entrepreneurs et des ind\u00e9pendants vise deux millions de clients d'ici 2030. D\u00e9j\u00e0 rentable, Qonto s'est engag\u00e9e sur la voie de la transformation en demandant \u00e0 devenir un \u00e9tablissement de cr\u00e9dit. Cette \u00e9volution lui permettra d'\u00e9largir son offre, tout en restant centr\u00e9e sur la simplicit\u00e9 et la facilit\u00e9 d'utilisation.<\/p><p>Ces trajectoires illustrent la menace croissante qui p\u00e8se sur les banques traditionnelles. D\u00e9sormais rentables, dop\u00e9s par la hausse des taux d'int\u00e9r\u00eat et capables d'une redoutable comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9 en mati\u00e8re de conqu\u00eate commerciale, ces acteurs s'attaquent \u00e0 des segments cl\u00e9s : les jeunes urbains connect\u00e9s pour Revolut ; les freelances et les micro-entreprises pour Qonto. Les banques traditionnelles ont encore de nombreux atouts, mais elles devront poursuivre leur transformation \u00e0 un rythme soutenu.<\/p><p><strong>Revolut innove avec ses nouveaux distributeurs automatiques de billets<\/strong><\/p><p>Revolut innove en installant ses propres distributeurs automatiques de billets. Ces distributeurs permettent des retraits illimit\u00e9s, l'ouverture de comptes et la distribution de cartes physiques. \u00c0 contre-courant des banques traditionnelles, la fintech britannique mise sur un canal physique pour renforcer sa pr\u00e9sence. Une mani\u00e8re de lever une barri\u00e8re \u00e0 l'utilisation de ses cartes tout en ma\u00eetrisant ses co\u00fbts. D'autres pays europ\u00e9ens suivront le mouvement d'ici 2026, notamment l'Italie, l'Allemagne et le Portugal.<\/p><p>Il s'agit d'un changement de positionnement majeur. Revolut transforme un co\u00fbt en levier strat\u00e9gique : au-del\u00e0 d'un certain nombre de retraits, elle prend d\u00e9sormais en charge les frais factur\u00e9s par les banques tierces. En cr\u00e9ant ses propres distributeurs, elle r\u00e9duit cette d\u00e9pendance tout en renfor\u00e7ant sa capacit\u00e9 d'acquisition. Les clients pourront ouvrir un compte ou recevoir leur carte sur place. Il s'agit d'un nouveau point d'entr\u00e9e qui renforce son autonomie dans la cha\u00eene de valeur.<\/p><p>Cette initiative s'inscrit dans une strat\u00e9gie plus large de super-applications. Apr\u00e8s avoir investi dans la t\u00e9l\u00e9phonie mobile et bient\u00f4t dans le cr\u00e9dit hypoth\u00e9caire, Revolut cherche \u00e0 int\u00e9grer des services cl\u00e9s de bout en bout. En combinant les canaux physiques et num\u00e9riques, elle consolide ses relations avec ses clients et gagne en diff\u00e9renciation. Peu de fintechs ont os\u00e9 franchir ce pas. Cette d\u00e9marche montre qu'une pr\u00e9sence physique peut encore jouer un r\u00f4le strat\u00e9gique dans la distribution bancaire.<\/p><p><strong>Revolut adopte Wero<\/strong><\/p><p>Phase 1 - mission accomplie. Avec plus de 55 millions d'utilisateurs et une pr\u00e9sence dans tous les \u00c9tats am\u00e9ricains et dans toute l'Europe, Revolut s'est impos\u00e9e comme la premi\u00e8re n\u00e9obanque de nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration. Une interface transparente, des frais peu \u00e9lev\u00e9s, une offre globale... mais aussi des revenus unitaires faibles. Le mod\u00e8le de croissance de Revolut repose sur des effets de conqu\u00eate et de volume, mais il atteint ses limites si la n\u00e9obanque ne passe pas \u00e0 l'\u00e9tape suivante : \u00e9quiper les clients, voire devenir leur banque principale.<\/p><p>C'est pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment l'ambition de Revolut. Apr\u00e8s les paiements et les comptes, place aux bilans, avec des offres de cr\u00e9dit et des solutions d'\u00e9pargne. La n\u00e9obanque lance le cr\u00e9dit immobilier en Lituanie, installe des distributeurs automatiques de billets en Espagne et devient un acteur de Wero pour les transferts europ\u00e9ens instantan\u00e9s. L'objectif est d'augmenter durablement son produit net bancaire par client. Et pour capter plus de revenus, elle doit offrir plus de services, y compris ceux qui ancrent les clients dans une relation de long terme.<\/p><p>Pour les banques traditionnelles, le risque est clair : apr\u00e8s avoir perdu des clients distants, elles pourraient bient\u00f4t voir partir des clients actifs, porteurs de marges et d'opportunit\u00e9s. Revolut y met les moyens : 1 milliard d'euros d'investissements en France, un hub europ\u00e9en \u00e0 Paris et une strat\u00e9gie omnicanale claire. Le mod\u00e8le \"tout num\u00e9rique\" \u00e9volue et le choc de la d\u00e9sinterm\u00e9diation bancaire prend une nouvelle dimension.
