Sulaiman specialises in quantity surveying, damage valuation, cost-based assessments, disruption claims, variation assessments and application of logically driven quantum principles.<\/p>\n<p>With a proven track record, Sulaiman is highly skilled in preparing and attributing different cost claims. He has supported clients throughout the lifecycle of a project, in claim preparation, pre-dispute analysis and independent assessments during the dispute phase, whether in arbitration, litigation or other dispute resolution processes.<\/p>\n<h3><a tabindex=\"0\">Example of engagements<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Disputes <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Served as a quantum expert in a high-profile litigation before the Dubai courts, assessing key issues such as site prolongation costs, head office and subcontractor prolongation costs, Covid-19-related impacts, variations, disputed provisional sum items, late payment interest and bond extension costs for a $300 million mixed-use tower project \u2013 UAE<\/li>\n<li>Assisted a prominent Saudi company in evaluating works at termination for an arbitration case, delivering an independent quantum assessment to support the resolution of complex claims \u2013 Saudi Arabia<\/li>\n<li>Delivered a comprehensive quantum assessment in a DAB case related to a power plant, addressing different claims related to prolongation, financing costs and variations on a major power plant project \u2013 Africa<\/li>\n<li>Supported a government entity in investigating a potential overpayment to a power plant contractor by preparing an independent quantum expert report. This included a detailed review of contract price, settlement agreement, variations, prolongation costs, delay damages, disruption costs, acceleration costs and final account reconciliation \u2013 Africa<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nClaim and contract<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advised the project owner in reaching a fair and balanced settlement, leading negotiations while providing an impartial assessment of time and cost impacts.
