During the discussion, Giovanni Foti highlighted how the role of technical experts has significantly evolved in both international arbitration and civil proceedings. Today, experts contribute beyond evidentiary analysis, playing an active role in case strategy, risk assessment, settlement dynamics and even the structuring of mediation processes.<\/p>

As arbitration practices have matured, with established tools such as expert reports, document production and cross-examination, the expert\u2019s role has expanded from delivering isolated technical opinions to providing structured, methodologically robust analyses. Increasingly, experts support legal teams throughout the entire lifecycle of disputes, often from the earliest stages.<\/p>

The discussion also underscored the growing multidisciplinarity and technological sophistication of the profession.
