This was a full-day event featuring keynote speeches and panel discussions on topics including the future of UK infrastructure, sustainability in construction and building safety.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, our partner Herv\u00e9 de Trogoff took part in a panel debate titled &#8220;The SCL Delay and Disruption Protocol: still fit for purpose?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The session revisited the protocol\u2019s development, which was first issued in 2002 and revised in 2017, and addressed recent survey feedback from the SCL community on whether a third edition is needed.<\/p>\n<p>Key themes from the discussion included:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; How the Protocol has evolved as a practical guide in construction disputes<br \/>\n&#8211; Whether updates are needed, given the current edition&#8217;s popularity and wide use by claims professionals, lawyers and experts<br \/>\n&#8211; How best to respond to calls for clearer guidance on critical path assessment and delay quantification, with the support of tables and diagrams<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the panellists for their contributions and to the audience for their active engagement throughout the session. Is the SCL Delay and Disruption Protocol still fit for purpose?
