Live Skin

Live skin is subject to color change as a result of pressure. Measurements may also be variable as a function of presentation. Both issues are addressed by having a contact area several times larger than the measurement area. This both reduced the average pressure and allows the operator to feel the confirmation to the skin.

Cylinder contact shape configurations of the Apiigi 10mm aov colorimeters and Apiigi 10mm aov spectrocolorimeters are specifically designed for measurement of live skin.
